Board Rules
The forum rules basically come down to a few key concepts:
- Be considerate of other forum users.
- Be considerate of other forum users.
I've amended these rules so its no longer just '8 simple forum rules' - however nothing here is particularly unusual. Some further more specific rules are listed below:
- If you post blatantly incorrect or misleading technical information it will be removed.
- If you repeatedly attack another user in a thread your entire post will be edited out. If you continue to do this your account will be suspended.
- If the content should not be viewed in a ‘business/office’ environment then it’s not acceptable material for Toyspeed considering, possible age of our members and of course maintaining a respectable reputation in the public eye.
- No more than 6 lines of text or a graphic no larger than 100x500 in your board signature. Further, these should not be of excessive size (in bytes) - thus be considerate when using large animations, etc.
- Images posted into threads directly via [img] tags should not be bigger than 800x600 pixels in most instances. If you need to refer to a bigger image, just post a URL instead of using img tags.
- No businesses are to post For Sale information on the forum unless they sponsor the club. The exception to this is forum users who contribute proactively to the wealth of content on the board.
- Off-topic is for non car related discussions but spam or dribble is not permitted. Posts that are a waste of bandwidth will be deleted without reservation.
- Repeated posts where a user hasn't searched will be locked.
- 'Aggravating' posts in other peoples For Sale threads will not be tolerated, however if someone is being obviously misleading then a post to point this out is acceptable.
- Moderators reserve the right to moderate your posts in any way they see fit to conform to these rules. Generally if a post is unacceptable its content will be edited out so the user knows what happened.
- We kindly request that the position of the Moderators be respected. We have the occaisionally awkward task of trying to find the neutral ground between opposing parties - so a little understanding goes a long way.
Thanks for your time!
