why celica have more power than mr2

Before I pulled anything out of my 'G' spec SW20, it weighed 1150kgs.

OH, except for the aircon pump.

So add another 15 kgs or so.

Thats a hard top BTW, none of that targa bollocks.

With the aircon and a few other things gone, gen 3 spoiler instead of the heavy gen 1 spoiler, it weighs approx. 1110kgs.

Still a bit to go though, will weigh a bit less some time soon.

Une comparaison juste pour NZ serait entre le ST202 @ 1150KGs (3S-FE ou le 3S-GE @1190kgs modèle) et le modèle @ 1210Kgs de SW20 G, Etant donné le SW20's 180ps contre le ST202's 140ps(3S-FE, 170ps pour) les ressembler 3S-GE au SW20 est toujours sur le dessu!

mr2 5sfe 2,2 135hp = 1191 kg
mr2 3sgte 2,0 200hp = 1282kg, (1991 = 1262kg)

mr2 turbo is 91kg more than mr2 n/a


in 1998 auto guide
celica 5sfe 2,2 135hp = 1170kg

so celica is 21kg less than same motor mr2
and celica fwd 3sgte weight (1170+91) = 1261kg

Celica 2wd turbo weight 1kg less than mr2 turbo 1991

Yes the celica awd need more power because heavy trammy and diff...

So real reason is because the celica gt4 st205 is race rally car and
the mr2 is nothing more than a wannabe NSX
