Hiace/hilux diff interchangebility

Hi i'm going out tomorrow afternoon to have a look at a couple of 1976 hiace's that are being wrecked. Does anyone know whether the 4wd hilux LSD's can be swaped into these housings? I don't know the chassis number but im going to go have a measure up coz i'm hoping they are the narrower diff (13xx wide). Is there any way to tell whether its the diff that the hilux centers can be swapped into?

you need to find the chassis tag, normally by drivers or passenger seat under the carpet, you need to make sure they have the same axle codes, a hilux is a 'g' series, but from what i found, if it 4 stud its smaller than a 'g',but if it 5 stud it should be sweet. but the chassis code will tell you
