Gizzmo launch questions?

Finally getting around to installing the gizzmo tach recall shiftlight and launch interface. I got a couple of questions.
The launch unit is a small puple sealed plastic box with different writing on the front of it compared to the piture on the manual. I thinks its a slightly newer version maybe? Anyway, reading the manual is a little confusing. Basically what I want to know is how do i tell if the launch unit is enabled or not. The manual says "after setting, the launch control light will illuminate"...what light?
It also says later, "the launch control is switched on by pressing the rear button once.The tacho will then move, indicating the position of the current launch rpm, the corresponding launch led's will flash." ...What led's flash???
What im trying to find out is where these led's/light is. Are they talking about the shiftlight leds or maybe a led/light on the launch unit, (I cant see any?, unless it shines through the plastic box/housing?)
The reason for all this is I need to know if I have to mount the launch unit in veiw or can it be bundled up out of sight?
I hope all that makes sense.

Yeah, its referring to the shiftlight, hence why they have to be sold together. You can hide the unit where ever you need it to be.

So you telling me that you have a led on the whole time the launch is turned on? Dose that mean the say, first stage shift led is now not used???, because the led is already been used? Can someone give me a run down of the way it all works?

I had one on my car. I jsut followed the instructions and it worked fine. Didnt take long to install as well.
It should say somethign about the colours on the shift light to set it up.
