Differences between blue top TVIS and red top TVIS/non-TVIS

there is no real internal differences in the blocks.
except for the oil squirters in the later models.
so yes, you can run 20v bits in a bluetop block if you so wish.

20v pistons prob wont work in a 16v head though.....

can you use the big port bolt torque specs for a red-top non-TVIS??
they were the only ones i readily found on the internet

Yeah, they do. But it becomes an interference engine and there is less than 1mm clearance between the dome of the piston and the combustion chamber.
