Cheap 6 inch speakers

Postby Dragger_Dan » Wed Oct 05, 2005 8:34 pm

I've got some holes in the doors of my MR2, and wouldn't mind getting a bit more sound. What brand would you recommend for some fairly cheap 6 inch speakers, bearing in mind I'm only running them off a 45Wx4 head deck.

I'll pass on components, no amp, adds extra weight to my battle machine. Pioneer ones any good?

I got some fusion powerplants for rear fill a while ago, and im damn impressed with them

they were on sale down from $120 or so to $60..
they have a meaty magnet.. (about 2x the size of my brothers "240w" pioneer 6x9s) and produce pretty good sound.

they also have a direction swivel tweeter

Lol, that would be pretty extreme. If I was that keen on weight reduction while racing I'd get my fat arse off the couch more often. :x

IMO
go for something a bit more expensive
you wont be dissapointed with the quality and car audio equiptment is so easy to take with you if you decide to sell the car

no point going expensive if you arent going to amp them to their full potential in volume and clarity. you can get good nuff sound out of some cheap pioneers.
