I'd love to see the skyline back, but in this case it's got nothing to do with the arguement at hand.

Lets keep it on topic please people 8)

It is interesting to see what everybody says about Ambrose, yet it is interesting to see that you hardly ever see Ambrose acting up around other drivers. It sounds like most of the Holden boys use him as a skapegoat, the use him as an excuse to be egotistical. Kind of ironic, really.

Skyline bitching huh? Ive got a better one, lets disqualify the seria because of the rear mud flaps

The rest of the world are just too good for them at the end of the day.

actually i think it was the front guards....

the aussies couldnt bare to see a 4cyl waste their precious crummydore

the down fall of the WTCC was the diferent interpritation of the rules at each round. a car that was fine in germany, may not be ok in france....
interesting thing that every car that was entered for the entire championship was found to be illegal at least once during the season

I just looked at the overhead video again, and he definately hit ahead of the "B" pillar, well forward on the front door, but maybe not quite the "A" pillar. Ambrose had at least another car width outside of him, Murph had less than 1/2 a car width on his inside, so had nowhere to go.

But in reality I could care less who's at fault, if either one hadn't let their egos get in the way, they both would have finished. I just wanted to see Gentleman Jim win another one, and he didn't even get a chance to drive :(

Yeah, but that's what runied the competion and turned it into Aussie V8 SuperTaxis :(

I much preferred it when there were a few Swedish, German and British taxis (Volvo 240T, BMWs, Jags) running around, but the bogans up on the mountain got upset that their precious V8's couldn't hack the pace.

Bring back Group C!!!

Actually the best ever touring car racing was the old BTCC but they stuffed that category too.

They really should rename it to "Ford/Holden Marketing Exercise Weekend", "Boganhurst", or "Shitbox Race That Noone Else In The Wide World Of Motor Racing Gives Two Shites About, Unless Its To Laugh At The Crappy 1960's-Level Aussie Engineering"...

I like that last one.

In case you havent guessed, i think Bathhurst is an overhyped steaming pile of turd.

well yes it does seem he hit ahead of the rear wheel, around the door section.

but also on watching it again, ambrose was ahead, and murph went up the inside... and he was certainly off line.

yes i agree the old group c and a was good.
btw it wasnt the aussies that outlawed the GTRs, the FIA canned group A.
so CAMs had to come up with something.... love it or hate it, its certainly working.

and yes, the BTCC from 10 or so years ago was...... well the best really...

Damn straight, A1GP is awesome. Places like Lebanon even get a chance to race. And theres wicked prize money for teams running on low budgets. It's a great formula
