ep82 starlet gearbox problems

Hey,

did a search couldnt find anything.

Second gear is crunching abviously needs new synchros, my questions is that is this a common problem? cause if it is not we'll just get a second hand gearbox to save money as the car will be sold soon, but if it is a common problem i think we'll get it rebuilt for peace of mind.

Also how much can i expect to pay for the box privatly and from a wrecker, sorry dont know much about toyotas

Just buy a nother box from a recker there a dime a dozen no a days.

not to hard to fit and a good change to change clutch if you havent allready done so

i think i got mine for 250 about 1.5 years ago..

yeh 2nd and 3rd allways go on them, but using the wrong gearbox oil can also cause it.
