turboing a 3sge

Postby Skin » Fri Oct 14, 2005 8:25 pm

Im looking at putting a ct26 on my st183, just running the standard 6 psi actuator. Ive read that they run a 10:1 compression ratio, but am i safe(ish) running this setup on an untouched engine? Also what other bits am i going to need, bearing in mind i will just use a 3sgte manifold/downpipe. Been told i will need a new map sensor, again a 3sgte one im assuming, but what else is going to be needed.

cheers
Mark

hmm from reading that it looks like all im gonna need is a FPR, on top of what i already know i need to get. The standard fuel pump should be good enough shouldnt it, as would the injectors. Feel free to correct me though. Hmmm looks very promising overall..... :D

I think the theory he used was that by changing to a 2 bar map sensor instead of the stock 1 bar, and approximately doubling the flow of the injectors he hoped the fueling would sort itself out mostly, so you would probably want to upgrade your injectors to something around twice the flow of your current ones
