Monthly Meet?

Postby rolla_fxgt » Mon Oct 17, 2005 2:12 am

Since i work weeknights & cant often make it to the weekly meets & are a wee bit out of the loop, havent heard if we're gona have a big weekend meet anytime soon?
Would perhaps be good to have one before everyones tied up with christmas stuff.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I'll go whenever, as long as it's not on a weekend, as i'll be at work. If it's in December then i'll probably have a different, weekday, job by then.

So December gets my vote.

last year we had one around the boxing day / new years area.

wasnt very big (dunedin ts was still a baby then). But yeh, i say december.

public holis are a good one, everyones at home, everything closed etc.

not much traffic (well generally).

i honestly could NOT tell you, what id be doing that time of the year though, where ill be living, or where ill be working.

Could probably do a combined ToySpeed/Southern Skylines meet in December (if my car has a WoF by then) as one of the guys in the club at the moment is moving back home to Welly in November, and another is trying to sell her car so it might be back to just me and Reece again. 8O

Feels like the club is going backwards just when it looked like it was getting somewhere.

To the TS or SSE meet? Doesn't matter what car you have at SSE meets, we had a Cefiro and a CRX at the last one (along with Skylines) and there's probably going to be a different Cefiro at the next one.

So December gets my vote.

If you can't make it at the weekends you should come along to Tuesday meets. The monthly meets kind of have to happen in the weekend to cater to those that CAN't make it on Tuesdays. Can't please everybody, but we try.

A combined meet sounds like a great idea.. if we do December, that would be good since it gives us time to plan things, but I'd say early December - public holidays really less than ideal... If there are out of town students in our club, however, speak up while you're still in town - if you want to have input for a date before you leave.

I hope i have a WoF in December then otherwise i won't be there (in my car anyway). :?

Slightly off-topic, but soon (price depending) you may see an 'advertorial' in The Star inviting Skyline owners to SSE. I tried to get a feature done like ToySpeed but she said that one car club feature is probably enough (which is fair i suppose).
