Haha @ Masterton, besides driving scenic routes (which most people would have to on the way there) what is there to do? Are there even any members that live there to liase with?

Close to a city is good, means there's plenty of options. Example being half of us wanted to go to Rainbows End cause we had never been and the other half went ice skating.

dunno what your chances are of hiring the track at timaru im pretty sure there are limited days that they are allowed to race, plus theres not to much to down there

with mm 05 fresh in my head , one of the best points was there was endless activities to do during the day. there has been a lot of good places suggested , but i think welly has the most to offer in terms of entertainment for our visitors . a day trip to palmy would be good as well, there is some really nice roads that way

my vote would be nelson, followed by wellington. Nelson being my first vote as i think it should alternate each year who has to pay for the ferry - north or south islanders, and second welly because its central to everywhere (bags a couch at the house of sideways if its there)

im biased because I could use it as an excuse to go visit chch to catch up with some mates

we have soime awsome roads and beaches close by and were in driving distance to hams and its only a hour to taupo we also have the mount about a hour away
we just dont have lazerstrike though a attual camping in the middle of noware meggameet might be quite cool

the thing is, who would come? i mean last years NI turn out was a bit thin, and seeing as theres 2 TS members in nelson, it could mean a piss poor turn out. if nelson is chosen, it would have to be sorted soon... cause long weekend accomadation in nelson can be scarce

im pretty sure taupo is going to be used for trackday this year, so do we need to have a MM there as well?

Yea I just thought of that one aswell. Well maybe track will be at Manfield again? AFAIK people really enjoyed being able to make use of the big track instead of the little one at Taupo all the time?

It's on the board anyway depending on where exactly Trackday will be decided to be held...

Wellington does have the good night-life option.. with everything being so close together you can sort of cater for everyone's tastes.. but then again Nelson sounds like a great spot too...aaah decisions decisions.
