twin carbs on 4k??

hey im thinking of putting some twin carbs on my 4k, just wondering that effects it will have if any thanks. oh i was ony thinking of putting the standard toyota one on it

If they are of a 3k (which they probably are) they will make no difference in power just an increase in fuel consumption. But if you get them properly tuned they can make a good increase in power. You would be better finding a twin throat webber off a 2.0 ltr cortina. They are called a 32/36 and get that tuned. It would give way better fuel consumption and probably give more power than the twins.

Expensive to buy, set up and on fuel....but man, they sound so cool :D
Give a pretty handy increase in power if done right too.

I'd say twin sideys are only realy worth going for on a 4k if you have done other mods (or plan to) like a cam, compression and abit of port work.

Down draught webers are ok, but a good but overlooked carb are 2T twin down draughts. Theyre about 40mm so maybe 36mm choke size or around there, not too hard to fit. I was running some on my 5K for a bit and it made descent power for a 5K, although it had alot of other work.
