hello

i need a short block picked up and was told to use mainfreight to get it but i also got told not to use them. so who should i use to get to pick it up?

Automotive Parts Express (I think thats what they're called). Cost me $75 to get an entire 3SGTE from Auckland to Wellington. They picked it up, and dropped it off, door to door delivery.

0800 APEMAN (iirc).

PBT (peter baker transport) i use them to transport large heavy items through out the country. Very well priced.

Have you ever had any problems with them? I was warned off them when looking for someone to ship the 3S.

they're a nightmare to deal with at my work if you want stuff promptly. With their delays we find they are no quicker than NZ post. Obviously this is document satchels, not engines though.

Nah never had a problem with them, ive shiped couple of sets of mags, guards, engines... nothing has ever been dodgy about them. Product always gets to the places in the same condition as it left in

Dont you have to have a business account or something with PBT? I got some mags sent from welly>aux by them, $35 for 4 17" wheels with tyres, and got them 23 hours later. I was impressed

We've had issues with PBT at work before...an oil filter adaptor took a week to get from Christchurch to Palmy

Where does it need to be picked up from?
I'd always use Freightlines myself,

yep, freightlines.

avoid mainfreight at all costs if you have to cross the straight
that will COST.

for timaru to chch, id just look in ya yello pages. thats not very far at all so it wont cost much. there will be local compays who do that run daily
