The Most Out There Car To Find Toyo Gear In :)

Postby Muzzie » Thu Nov 03, 2005 9:14 pm

Only just 56k friendly though :)

Wouldn't you know it, lucks on my side today :)

I have now acquired Sinea (pronounced Sha-Nay but with a sorta J sound at the start lol), a 1962 Simca Etole with Toyota motor and box :), along with brother and sister I have since found out.

In need of some work, but a good base. I'm gonna restore her :)

Interesting find I reckon..........

Opinions??
Questions??
History run down??

Here's some pics :)

That engine bay looks huge compared to the engine!
Why, I'll bet you could fit a 1UZ in there ;)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I can't see why not - would take a bit of work though.

All the hard stuff has been done on that and as you can see it runs too. Plus it's been done in such a way that everything is totally reversible. So I could put all original bits back in it if I wanted.

3K according to the old owner. 1300cc, and with matching box.

Singer Vogue you mean?? I know someone with one of them and it aint like that. You might be thinking of the Humber 80 :)

But yes, should be alot more reliable and easier to get parts for! :D
