specifically commercial drivers who need to use RT's etc while working


Including fire, police and ambulance :)

If they can do it whilst driving at a high speed persuit, why cant we do it at normal road speeds :)

are they special or something :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

have you ever noticed that during a pursuit its the guy in the passengers seat on the radio?

this is the case in firetrucks (radio used by the officer who sits front-left) and in 2-up cop cars, and id assume ambulances too, when theyre not working on someone in the back.

And yes, the drivers for all 3 services have to pass advanced driving skills courses and be certified to respond under lights...

so theres some reasons to start with.

its the commercial (non emergency) operator argument that actually holds merit..
