Masterton drags on 26th/27th

I want to race in the next masterton drags in my trueno, you need to buy some sort of licence?? Do you buy that on the day or what? also what other costs are there to race?? cheers

It cost me $50 to race, $50 for season license and $20 to get in the gate.

I almost swallowed my tongue when i saw the price.

Cheers for that and can i get a season licence on the day or what??Is there a certain age?? and you just need a helmate to race right??

Yes you get the licence on the day when your car is scrutineered, The helmet needs to be motorsport approved, theres a few numbers which i have no idea of, but if you buy a new one it should be up to spec.

if your car is relatively standard you wont have too much trouble. i got pulled up on not having two hoseclips on a fuel line which was easily fixed. they check your engine bay for anything obviously dangerous , and your balljoints , they have a jack handy too but hardly use it.
20 to get in , 50 for license , 50 to race.

What was your best time in the end? I managed a pretty wobbly 14.3 in the end, still with serious traction issues in 2nd gear.

They picked out hoseclips on fuel lines!

How nazi are they :o come race at ruapuna, as long as its reg, wof'd, has a overflow bottle and your helmet looks in good nick you can race! :lol:

haha i know , they were perfectly securely cabletied on :wink: they had a good nosy at my battery too , but tis in a proper box welded to the floor so they let it go.

my best time is hardly worth mentioning , 60 fts = :( ET = :( reaction time = :( mph was ok i guess , but when i suss out the monkey driver it should show a lot better. :D

Its at an airport, you may be able to get some there

just go with 98. funny gas wont help you that much if you're not running lots of boost or stupid high compression. if you think detonation is likely to be an issue , just put a bit of octane booster in. it does get quite hot over there , so cars are slightly more prone to pinging.
