ANOTHER CAR STOLEN!

Postby FYADUP » Thu Nov 10, 2005 12:52 pm

My mates subi was stolen today, its a dark green mid to late 90's subaru legacy GT with GTB wheels, got exhaust etc. Rego is XK9459 This is getting f*****g stupid! I still havnt got my car back either, they called me up last week and said they hadnt assigned anyone to it as theres too much "heavy crime" at ther moment, and its been 4 and a half weeks!!! The police in nz are f*****g crap. They'd prefer to pull sumone over for doing a measly 61 km instead of finidng a car, or when you go through a check point, whats that? oh!!!! about 10 police officers sitting around in the middle of the road at 2 in the morning waiting for drunk drivers. Must be 3 to ask the driver if hes been drinking, 2 to watch guard in case theres any runners and oh... and 4 who have to man handle the guy into the paddy if hes drunk. MY GOD!!!!!

Locking them up costs too much. Just skip that part and shoot them.

I don't care if he can spell or not, any man willing to put a 1UZ into an AW11 has my respect (more so than those who just say they're going to do it)

The sanity of any man willing to drive it....well, thats another question

i see a lot of bagging of the police here. officers are assigned to do different things. blame the govt about how things are run?
revenue gathering? possibly but speeding can cause fatal crashes and i think they would rather stop that shit than go on a fruitless search for a car. and what? do you think the police keep this money for themselves? no it goes back into OUR society, its just that the govt gets the people that are dumb enough to speed to pay for this extra tax. (whoops i got a speeding fine last weekend)

if my soob got stolen i wouldn't even think about relying on the police to get it back. i think its my own responsibility - where i park it and how long for.

and aswell you know that subarus are highrisk for being stolen you know that when you buy any performance car aswell.

blame the crims, not the cops.

I agree with cheese also. Its not the cops fault your car got stolen. The crime stole it. Blame the speeders (who kill people) and murders as well, they are the ones that keep the police busy, not to mention illegal drags burnouts etc, and drunks.

You and everyone else who has had a car stolen is making it sound like it is much more important than a human life, sure, not all murders are solved, but most are. I know your car is more important to YOU than finding the rapest who raped the 13 year old girl down the road from you last week (figurativly speaking)

If YOU choose to drive a car that is high risk, like a sub, evo etc, expect a LOT higher chance of having it nicked, and an even HIGHER chance that it will never be found.

If you have insurance, and had done it right, ie insured for agreed value etc, you'd be happy, I know I would be, coz Id get a good pay out.

If you didnt/couldnt afford to have insurance, then boo hoo! Makes my premiums cheaper.

I say catching murders, rapest, and other people that are likely to kill people is much more important than finding a car that has more than likely been chopped up within 12 hours of it being stolen.

And before you say it, yes, I have been nicked for speeding etc as well.

cool i understand where you are coming from, thats all good, but i know theres alot of cops who are out there as a i sed, pulling over people who are doing 61, and for other pathetic things too, like my 12 cops at a checkpoint statement which is horse shit. they arent out finiding rapists murderers either? sure u get insurance payout on an everyday subi, car etc, but i strioved to make my car different and spent alot doing it, and was my pride enjoy which i had had for 5 years since i could drive, so does have alot of personal value to me. but also, another incident as you say they have better things to do like get bad guys, i had a guy follow me to mission bay, he was following me too close, aso i brake tested him, he didnt like it drove up beside me trying to push me into the kurb and then followed me, i got stuck in mission bay and couldnt go anywhere, he then got out of the car and smashed my window with his bare fist and proceeded to hook me i the ehad 3 times before spitting in my face, swearing at me for about a minute straight, then running off, before cops came. I got a letter from the cops 6 months after the incident saying they havnt solved the case or found the guy. apparently hes got about another 12 charges on his card that they trying to get him for but hes vanished.

So even if they have better things to do than get a car back like go out looking for dodgy crims like this guy, doesnt look like they are doin that either huh?makes u think. Also from memory the story of that guy on here about 17 yo or something who's car broke dwn, then sum gang mob guys started pushing them round an harrasing them, the cops were called, got there after 30 mins, and the cops believed the gang members and said that the young guys were talking crap!!! whats the fareness in that!! thats a lil bit corrupt if u ask me!!!

I have no respect for the police and I can see where all you guys are coming from.

I had a car stolen in February or March this year (one of the two, maybe early march). And the police haven't done a thing about it yet. I rang them up a few months ago and they said they would inform me of the proceedings. Haven't heard a thing from them.

Glad to hear the car was found. I just wish mine had been found, I don't mind about the car, its the 42 below Vodka hidden under the seat that I care about.
