brake ubgrade for ae82

just after some good brake ub grades for my race car i was thinking maybe celica turbo ones or some thing of that size

twin pots from a superstrut levin/trueno will fit with minimal modifications..

are they a commin part and do you know what the mods are that are required

yeah, they are relativly common... sets pop up on trademe every now and then...

i havent done the mods required (was lucky enough to pick up a set already modded to suit) to fit them, but i do know you'll need to do some machining of the calliper cradle/bracket and in some cases the rotor to allow everything to line up properly. Also you need to get some longer lines made up as well.

I'll take some pics tonight (im doing this upgrade atm) so you can get a better idea...

mine has trd front inserts and 350lb king springs all race coils so they are fully adjustible and the rear has similar but with 250lb race coils also chaosad you should see mine it looks like that pic of yours now haha and disturb is yous an ae 82 aswell

Ok, so i wont take pics, coz that site is so much better 8)

Yep mine is an 82 as well... is white with odd black panels. Looks more like a panda than a car.

Currently just have some King springs and kyb dampner adjustable shocks, with an adjustable rear swaybar to tighten things up. Will be investigating coilovers at some point

you should deffenitly go to coil overs dude my set up got me 2 seconds at taupo thats huge it does 48 sec laps with a standed motor

oh dont worry, it will happen.. its just a matter of deciding how much adjustability i want/need and finding some to suit... oh and paying for them too :lol: :D
