Insert for DIN stereos

Postby Just_Juzz » Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:23 pm

Hi All,

The new Caldina has a DIN style radio installed.

I wanna put my Kenwood in.

Does anyone know where you can get a plate to fill the hole that will be left?

I assume you mean you're going from a double DIN to single DIN??

You can grab cupholders or pockets from most car audio places, and even repco/supercheap have them sometime.

most wreckers would have them. if your real anal about having stuff perfect like me, you can often find factory ones made specifically for your car at places like roscos, mazline, lineside (wreckers)

The one rapid radio fitted in my Corolla (and charged shitloads for) looks like shit.

I should take a photo and show you guys how the "professionals" did it. Im not impressed at all.. Its been a year since the install and there seems to be a loose cable now as the right side speakers keep cutting out (Alpine Type-R components).

/rant
Aaah no more Corolla..

The guys at VDO on the shore have em... and there cheep too, but direct from the importer!!! I stuck one in and it dosent look to bad...

Otherwise, the sony mp3 pocket they relesed is a goodin!!! I have seen them, the look great installed and if you have a headunit with rca plugs in the back not doing anything you can plug in a built in cable for pluging in MP3 devices... Such as minidisc players, iPods and the such!!! so you can just play them through the cars speakers...
