Cut hole in celica doors for 6.5"'s?

Postby ben » Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:28 pm

My gt4 doesn't have pods for the 6.5" speakers in the doors! :x

Would it be very hard to cut a hole for some 6.5"'s into the door panel? I don't want to have to use 4" components up front!
White tshirt, black gt4. In the 04.

Or you can try cutting some into your doors, it would work as long as you can mount the speakers. And if the facroty grill fits over it it cannt be too bad.

if it doesnt hav the system 10 setup (only some of them did) then there is still a tiny hole in the door frame itself that may be able to fit the back of a driver.

otherwise yea just make them yourself. ORRRRRR, a chick on trademe makes up pods to spec, quite reasonable price too, her trademe name is Ciska.
I had vtax :(

Yeah she can make custom ones for real cheap too, not just the ones she has listed. Ask her :)

just find some system 10 pods and then mount a baffle onto the door directly.. so much easier than building custom pods and most likely cheaper as well :)

Best bet would be system 10 door panels, all celica doors have the holes for mounting the box etc :D

It is an 8", but easy enough to make a spacer for a 6.5" 8)
