painting door handles

what kinda paint is needed for painting exterior door handles?
i dont just want it to flake of eather :P

assuming they are plastic handles then plastic prime first then just top with standard car paint.
If metal, just the same as the rest of a car body.

depending on the car, you can quite often find door handles from other vehicles that are the same with the same color door handles, same goes with wing mirros as well.

but as above, just primer it and then a couple coats.

yep I did just this to my gf's fxgt when she broke the door handle a couple months ago. Repainted with a can of touch up paint from repco, then a couple coats of lacquer, it looks like new

She broke it, you painted it and now its 'like new' :?
