Best corner in wellington?

I vote for the one going down into the terrace tunnel! It was better before they lowered the speed limit though. :(

The Chicane coming out around the Basin towards courtnaey place. If you take the inside and stab the clutch in second you can drift it nicely. the KE30 proved that last night... :D

its 50ks till you reach the tunnel then its back up to 100ks. Seeing as there is no place a cop could park on that tiny bit it shouldnt matter , just check behind and see there are none lurking there.

Definitly Moonshine bridge. The last dice with death before making it safely home. You never know how much the oncoming traffic is going to be over the centre line, sometimes on the line, sometimes 1 metre or more in my lane!!

Me, personally, I like the corkscrew up onto the motorway as you leave Tawa heading south towards the City... Andrew (Distrb) can vouch for the fun had around that corner  Only thing against it is that it's a bit tight on the exit... (armco!)

Oh yeah, that tightening left hand sweeper heading South onto the motorway from Tawa is lovely. I was on my way back from Manfeild in the club car, and I had swung through Tawa to look at the cars for sale. I ended up being seriously tailgated by some young female person in a Bitsa Mitsy Lancer.

She discovered that cars on race rubber go around that particular corner a lot faster than her car could cope with. She got the huge understeer going, and nearly nailed all the signs towards the exit of the corner.

Oh how I laughed

Silly bint shouldn't have been tailgating me. Obviously the rollcage wasn't enough of a hint for her.

My fav has got to be the corner on Boulcott St coming out of town. The camber isn't ideal but, taken right, you come out smoothly.

I believe they had a bill board up once with a 9/10 rating for it 8)

I dont have a fav really, but a good one is when your heading past Chaffers and take the right at the lights around New World.. if you stick close to the gutter its got an allright camber to it :P

Hahahaha yes! Many good times had there!

My fave is the loooooooooooooooooooooong sweeping right hander that starts at the bottom of the gorge, goes up and over old hutt road, and finishes joining up with SH2 on the motorway heading towards town...

Yeah that bridge is pretty suspect...thats where i turn off into moonshine rd and often am forced to take evasive action as brain dead people tend to ride the centre line :?

The old tawa - j'ville road before they made the changes, now its just plain boring

Around the bays at plimerton is always a good one

Outside the Wgtn area - SH45 (North of Wanganui) some damm nice corners up there, in fact there isnt much of it thats straight at all

Comming out of the roundabout at Patone going over the bridge and onto the motor way.

Have seen a few nasty messes on this bridge where people have messed it up.

And the Tawa south motorway on ramp is nice.
