You've marginally upgraded in the looks department, but majorly downgraded in technology and possibly quality.

Still - a very nice car which holds its value very well.

I would always choose a big ugly v8 holden ( new ) over a small turbo charged Jap car.

Who cares?
Ground breaking technology?
You mean engine breaking technology, AKA Gen 4 3sgte? :P

Its still a great car, that Im sure Farmer Dave is proud to own.
Not my cup of tea, but I can still appreciate it. 8)

I think your underestimating the power of these things. And the sound is enough to own one :D
Plus I dont see how anyone can see this car as being ''ugly". This is my dream car. (If it was red) :D :D

Erm.. Whats that supposed to mean? :?

Agreed, they're both nice cars.
Im not sure which Id rather have out of a GTT or HSV, both have their merits, but Im not sure I would want to own either of those cars. They dont really suit what I need a car for.

But, If I had to choose between a GTT or an HSV....

If I was going to get a wagon like a GTT or a large sedan like an HSV, it would be for going on road trips etc.

Which is where the GTT lets the team down... Its reliance on 98 octane would be a PITA, as it isnt available in a lot of small towns.
As oppposed to the HSV, which you could run on an irishmans piss.
But then again, I probably couldnt afford to drive the HSV to any small towns anyway, so its a moot point. :)

I dare say that you could run it on 96 without a hellova lot of drawback on an as-required basis.

I ran my GT4 on 96 briefly and it didn't complain very much at all, that was with an effectively empty tak, put $5 in it and then drove to a 98 octane stn. ;-)

Car didnt even hiccup for the trip, though. Expect with smooth open road driving you wouldn't notice it much.
