With anyluck Toyota can help bring Subarus repair costs down to earth, and Subaru can take Toyota back to rallying :)

hahaha, subaru repair cost!, go price up any kind of intake pipe for a toyota and start saving. altho i agree, i hope toyota can help subaru with there R&D, could make for some new turbo 4wd toyotas

because toyotas dont need repairs, so he had to quote the cost of accessories...

although check the price of a new windscreen fluid resovoir for an AW11

Actually, its sort of "check the price of a new <insert model specific part> from <insert manufacture> for a <insert model>"

Car manufactures have a long standard tradition of charging as much as they can for spare parts.

Mind you, they do need to store the parts somewhere.

Im not talking aftermarket, im talkin factory replacement RUBBER intake pipes, most genuine ones regaurdless of length are like $200 +

INCORRECT

i have yet to come across one that is $200.. let alone more than...

go price a subaru for a cambelt change... say a wrx. then price the equivalent bits for say... a 3sgte sw20.
or how abotu water pumps? or shocks? hmmm what about clutch kits?

fact is toyota is just about the cheapest for OEM parts.....

when i went to Southern motorcourt, which get OEM Subaru Parts, $3000 something...

remember, this is a 1986 Subaru leone... This isnt a High spec turbo :D.

When i first saw a turbo leone (colud have been a vortex) i was like, 'wow cool, turbo subaru!' Then i looked up a few specs...needless to say i was blown away by the amazing 86kw that the turbo version made..

i priced a turbo from toyota, came back at 8 grand + just for a CT20b. ( as per north shore toyota )

when warwick can do them from "between 1200 and 1800" haha, coz al didnt want to say a definte price, and thats an ST205 Steel shaft item...

yup, 86kw, has about 140-160nm of torque though, so it got around ok, thing is, it had NO guts (obviously) so whenever you put your foot down, it just made noise, JUST what you want when your a poor student!

Compressor surge + poddie = teh win too.

*sigh* i miss that car.

you think they still make subaru leone parts? lol suppose its the same wth any car, you got parts listed for KE20's on there revvy?
