Postby SKDTOY » Mon Nov 28, 2005 8:57 pm

Hi .I just installed an Zenki LSD and its not good.Help I just imported it from Japan and was told its done 22,000kms and had been tested by the seller and was mint .So I paid up $450nz dollars later its in the car and im stressing .Is this right put one wheel on the ground the over jacked place tourqe wrench on the jacked wheel and apply force . The force required to brake free should be around 50ft/lbs ,Well I can turn the B@#%^!@D by hand. It feels just like an open center ,What do you think?

STILL NOGO

Sorry I forgot to add. I put CASTROL LSX 85-140 in the diff told by repco this was good stuff perfect for this application. Thinking this could be a contributing factor.

Postby SKDTOY » Mon Nov 28, 2005 9:48 pm

Yeah I do dont know how to post .Dude I know its a Zenki standard LSD center not TRD and definatly not open center as I removed a reassembled the nugget my self . Prior to putting the oil in the diff housing she was locked . But after placing oil in the diff housing and having the diff sit for three days wet ,I was putting the brakes back on and the wheels when I turned the REAR wheel the other didnt turn .Instant thought what the $#@^&%#$#%@@#!$&^ peace of @#$#$)@*#*$. So I came inside and posted the situation. Any Ideas ??

i would get it all back together and take it for a drive, give it a bit of a work out going round corners then give it the fats clutch kick and see what happens. if it still doesnt spin both id pull it back out and have your own little CSI christchurch to sus it out.

Just bit the bulit and brought T3 LSD upgrade kit from the USA.
That will sort the B#@^H out.The kit makes the LSD more agressive.

Agressive = Big drifts, well thats the plain any way.
