Removing window trim

Postby Quint » Mon Nov 28, 2005 5:44 pm

Does anyone know how to remove window trim without $&#$% it completely? The small window behind the B pillar on my GA-70 has a bit of rust starting to come through, decided to get in there before it got much worse but can't figure out how to take off the widow trim around the bottom without buckling it and in general $&#$% it completely. anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: P.S does anyone know if an ST183 '89 celicas glass would fit an '90s celica?

I never actually took it off my old mkIII, so Im not 100% sure, but I have come accross several cars around that era that you have to take the whole window out and the trim is attached to little brackets on that. I did my aw11 recently and some of the trim on that could only be removed with the window. The window itself will probably be both bolted and adhered so take care in removing if that is the case...but someone on here should know for sure.
Cant believe im still a member here.

Yea i got the top trim off easily enough, and looks like the window is screwed and glued on (screws being under the trim), still stumped :(
