Painting wheels

I have some gtz wheels to put on my fx, the kerbing marks and some dings have been repaired now its time to paint..

i dont have the money to get them powder coated so im doing them myself... i have just got some duplicolour wheel paint (the good stuff) to try out and it says i dont have to prime... just wondering if its a good idea to do it anyways and if so what primer to use

I used that exact stuff once on what was supposed to be a rush job, I didn't care if it looked like shit.

Didn't prime at all, and hardly even cleaned them...and it came out mint...I was shocked at how well that stuff works...

make sure u sand properly and clean it or not the paint will come out rough.

yeah i have sanded them back and given one of them a few coats w/o primer, looking good so far.

did u sand the whole wheel or just the cerbed bits?

with my old black 17's when i sold them to a mate I sanded them down and just sprayed them with 2 coats of matt black spray paint and they still look good now and its been a few months
