All going to plan I should be able to have the MR2 racing anyway, would be good for a laugh to try and race against my old car! I KNOW that thing had 12s in it - ran 13.0 @ 106, when COASTING across the line kinda tells me it wouldn't have had a problem.

can anyone tell me if ill need a front bumper to race, the one on the vr4 has come off on the passenger side and is held on at the moment with inso tape

But dude... Look just up on the very edge of it (right on the wheel arch), thats where the bolt once was, just stick a cable tie through there :lol:

kinda off topic but not...............

theres racing at motueka (in nelson) on january 14th. scruiteneering on the 13th... $10 event fee plus $20 for a day licence to race, avgas available once you pass scruitineering.. loads of fun, get to own v8s as well :twisted:

i've allready booked it in the schedule, will be the first track outing for my car too, and will have the external on too. did they prep it when you race the other weekend? mate got you on his video camera whipping someones ass.

Finding another one is easy enough. Go for an evo RS mechanical LSD, theyre all of $200 even at wreckers.

i was messing around with some mates and thought i may as well get in some launching practise so decided to launch it at 7000rpm and the first time it went bang

there have been some changes to the december race dates.

there will be a evening meet on the 9th dec.
gates open 5pm, scruteneering untill 6.45pm.
$10 gate fee
$20 street cars + $15 day affiliation.

there is also a, night speed drag wars southern front, event on 27th dec.
this will be run in a similer fashion to the champion dragway events.
the time and cost is yet to be anounced, but ill update when i know (unless someone else finds out 1st).

it would be good to see a good toyota turnout.
theres alot of fun to be had, when speed and burnouts are incouraged, even if your only running 15/16's

About time someone who knows the difference between a mivec lancer and an evo got behind the mic, I was tempted to offer for street car meets because whenever a non-jap car lined up you didn't hear anything about the two cars that had just run.

Not to mention the continous explanation of how the lights, sensors and D.Y.O racing works. We aren't racing so just tell us about the cars, times and speeds!
