I'm heading up early but will probably be around for NY eve and NY day, just not sure what the people I'm going with have planned. Don't know if i'll have my car either but hopefully we can all catch up. Maybe another BBQ lunch.

Hope you guys are having a good time. I wanted to make it over and say hi but I didn't go up in my car and we were all pretty keen to get back to the luxury of civilisation and home.

2 mates and I camped 3 nights in abel tasman, stayed at anchorage bay over new year and it'll be one I wont forget. At midnight everyone was doing the crazy NY stuff like throwing each other in the sea, nude runs, people on boats letting flares off.

All was going well till one of the flares got shot on too much of an angle and landed in the bush above the camp site. The bush started going up in flames, fire fighters had to come in by boat and pump water out of the sea. We just slept on the beach, all 3 hours worth I got some cool photos, will post them up when I find the camera.
