It was Brett (krayzieAW/DVSMR2) who made 105kw, at my dyno day in Palmy. Pretty good for a bone stock car.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

Well done Pad, the only post in here thats not contributing.....

Roman, what about changing your gearing... as you know its not all about power, and if you want to go for every little bit... cant hurt to at least look into it.

and hey, worse comes to worse, if your 3sge dosnt make enuf guts, could always bolt on an electric supercharger ;) ;) haha

And how exactly do you propose that I do that?

And BTW Im not after advice on how to get more power.
I also dont care what a 3S makes compared to engine X,Y or Z.
I just want to see some dyno plots of various 3SGEs, as per the thread title.

If anyone has derailed this thread, it hasnt been Mr Pad.

One dude with a redtop made 187whp with bolt ons and SAFC.
Another made 197whp with bolt ons and an ECU.
Good enough for me.

CelicaRA45 is making 270 odd wheel horsepower with his NA 3sge, which is totally awesome. 8)

But he's done quite a lot of work, far past the reaches of my humble budget. :)

And BTW Cozmo, Dyno plot or it didnt happen. :P

as was that ako :P

Roman, you know my computer is on the damn floor in peices, i COULD go and get the hard drive, rip this computer to bits, plug it in, nick the ONE jpeg file on there, then upload it to here.

But no, i cbf, and i just did it to get 1 file for my boss... and im sure as hell not doing it for you :P.

you could always go and find the 100th edition of performance car mag i think it is..... the aw's dyno results are in that.

Was just stirring.
I take your word for it, thats an impressive output for a standard engine...

You sure it doesnt have a pulley kit or something?

its a stock engine, and that reading was what it did, and i dont believe that dynos accuracy.
unless he used a honda pod and exhaust, coz that the only way youd get that kind of gain from those mods

it basicly made the stock flywheel power at the wheels....

yeah iv driven it too cozmo!

and yes mine should make more power.......

we never did a proper comparison, but the only time we drove em together mine appeared to be faster, but that was by no means a proper test.

what suspension do you have? last i heard on that "photoshoot" (which i still have pix from, when new comps here, i can send u them), of both our cars.

that hill, when you guys went up, mr2sik's (mine) aw was quite nice around the corners, yours was a freaking nazi, slideways everywhere lol. Or is that just how you drive?

btw, just fitted a deep dish steering wheel, and spacer (well, 75mm total closer now), so its easier to drive :D.

the problem then was the 155 snow tyres it was on 8O

one of you mungs should buy Karls 3sge quad setup !! its on trademe and is freaking cheap .. 3s with quads sounds more insane that 4age .. i think it suits the gen2 head but 109kw@wheels with sweet f/a timing advance.. it might have been on static 15-20deg which is nothing for n/a

come on .. live a little .. mega power and noise just a few beans away !!!

and for what its worth that was a stock gen2 engine with nothing more than quads and megasquirt .. badass

ok. our 4ages seem to make their flywheel rating at the wheels. so either flywheel rating is wrong, or our exhausts and intake setups, (read nothing after tb), tune setups are awesome. I think it's just how we set up a 4age - they make more power than most.

my 3sge only got to 25deg ign advance max.

if you want your 3s to make power, buy my quad manifold on trademe.
my 3sge was the loudest intake on the block... honda owners would suck on a lemon when they heard it.... easy 200m sound penetration.

i know a few guys in aus with clubmans on standard manifolds. The best they could achieve was in the 80kw region. They run shorter and longer manifolds than stock

mine made a lot more power.
trumpets made almost no difference to the dyno plot.

3sge owners are babies.
people who talk about 3sge rwd conversions are babies.

why doesn't someone else do this!?!@?!?

fwiw, i have a winged sump and quad manifold for sale.
i could modify a 3sge loom to run the ign and setup a megasquirt for fuel for someone if they wanted. heck, ms could do ign too.

don't be a baby, just make yourself some mounts and put the motor in.
it's not that hard.

drivetrain loss is for babies. Real men talk power at the wheels.
honda owners still sucking on a lemon cos they can remember how loud that 3sge carina was.

drunken karl, you do realise this thread isn't about making a RWD 3sge setup, right?
