yea, no biggie, as I said, I wasnt infering you were incorrect at all, just on the fords I have worked on (from memory all being 4cyl's) I have not seen any with gears. Im well aware there are many cars which do use gears (alough many not being as common as chain or belt).
Mr Revhead, do you know if the V4's are also gear or chain?

pretty sure they are gears as well, as they are basiclly the 6 with 2 cyls chopped off and a balance shaft added
