Do you think that we are stupid enough to do it near any populated area? Or anywhere near a news camera? Blowing stuff up on that scale in an urban environment will just end up with the police shooting you. Al Qaeda is for wimps too 8)

firstly, people have been making bombs before the days of banning fireworks, and you probably see more of it now because of an increase in population/decrease in discipline in society. banning more fireworks isnt going to cause a backlash. it will cause a public debate for a month and then everyone will forget about it, much like anti smoking bills being passed.

You seem to be under the impression that i was talking only about thes militants.
Next time I will make it clearer by putting a space between my line of "i agree with this" and then talking bout the common people of NZ.

And as for making bombs etc. I do know a lil bout this.
Comes with having a chemical engineer as a best mate and soon to be flat mate (again...)

Ah well we are straying away from the topic here. Does your friend do model rocketry? One of the guys I know makes his own rocket engines and was in charge of the Y2K fireworks from the barges in the harbour.
