you will have to hook them up to you headunit or amp to test them properly. you could also test the impedence with a multimeter but its better to hear them going...

Yea budget is a biiig factor with components, with being able to spend less than $100 if your thrifty up to $800+ sometimes

For rears try and get some 6" mids as opposed to 6x9s

Some 6.5" Components, Pauls Audio in CHCH are doing a sale on Focal components and will deliver to auckland. Focal make some very very very very good speakers.

In the back a 6.5" mid bass would be all you need, or nothing at all. Just a sub. If ive got my setup in my car before you buy yours you can come have a listen. Ive only got some 6.5" speakers and a tiny 10" sub.

My install has come to a grinding halt though, im awating some tools to cut holes in the firewall .

Running off head unit is ok.

But there really is a huge difference even with a small amp.

How many hudie do you want to make? For $300 you can get those focals, usually $400. Hand made in france and all.

Those pioneer bullet speakers are alright too, and the yellow kevlar ones are alright too, for the price the PBX evos are probably better.
