Yes straight plug in. Not sure about celicas tho from what i can tell its Only for the MR2 but i guess a ST205 is a tad differnt than a 185./

Torque Performance appear to be the most used team in a tuneing situation like that.

imporvment would depend on tuning would it not.

Power Improvement would vary from model to model & even car to car. Also given the fact that the power FC base maps are designed for Jap Fuel not NZ Fuel means you'd be a foolish person to run the base map for any length of time if you want you engine to last specifically if it's an RX7.

As for tuning, anyone who has either the genuine APexi software like ST Hi-Tec or else anyone who has & knows how to use the FC-Datalogit software is the go, also rule out anyone who road tunes as road tune is downright dangerous & stupid. My recommendations for tuning in Auckland are either St Hi-Tec or HiTech Motorsport, I don't recomend any others as I've seen to many so called tunes that have been way off what they should be, the other advantage of the two above shops is they've got plenty of experience over the rang of Power FC's available. But each to their own, you get what you pay for, but ti pays to shop around & see who people recommend & are happy with.

More than happy with the PFC I installed on my old ST205. Dyno tuning was done by the boys at Torque Performance.
Yes, there are other options out there, but AFAIK, the PFC is the only ECU which is purely plug and play with no extra wiring etc required.

Hi,
I'm new here and dont want to step out of line but,

IMO the base map on the apexi pfc is not intended to be used long term,
Its mainly supplied with a base map to allow the tuner to map the ecu more quickly. With the base map loaded the tuner just needs to tweak at it depending on the state of tune of your motor.

You guys should know about the FC-Edit to map the Apexi PFC, it was born in your country and I heard its probably the best way to map the ECU other than Apexi's own Excell software, and for around 350BGBP its not overly exspensive.

I have a Apexi PFC already loaded with a rated @ 330bhp (@ crank) I will be fitting along with water injection, I will monitor the knock levels but I reckon that it will need a remap ASAP even though the spec of my car is indentical to the car it was mapped on.

Sorry to go on and probably straying from the post but IMHO all after market ECU need to be mapped for safe running.

Cheers,
270chp & 250lbs/f
