Ok, i'm installing all the sounds myself, don't have $300 to spend on some guy doing it for me.

Can someone tell me EVERYTHING I need to install it?

1998 Skyline R34

Installing:
Headunit (Yet to be decided, going to get it tomorrow)
Fusion 6.5" 2-ways (Installed)
Fusion 12" Encounter sub (boxed)
NBL 1000W amp

What will I need to get the head unit in and going?
Can I use all the existing wiring from the stock headunit and just plug them into the new one?

loom adaptor - $15-25
4ga wiring kit - $40 - $70
screwdrivers, zip ties, pliers, craft knife, electrical tape

Yep, got wiring kit.

What else do I need?
New battery terminal to hook everything on?
Spacer/plate to go from double din to single ?
Nissan aerial adapter

I don't wana have to make two trips to buy more stuff that I forget.

For the Amp:
* RCA's to run from the head-unit to the amp
* Power cable to run from the battery to the amp (including a fuse)
* Cable to ground to the chassis
* Cable to run from the head unit to the amp (to switch on and off)
* Wire from the speakers to the Amp (depending on where you put the amp)

For the Head Unit:
* Your new head unit should include loom, brackets etc.
* Use existing head unit wires
* Bullits / plugs to connect loom wires to existing wires (or soilder them)


If you are using a 1000w amp, make sure you have a very good earth to the chassis.

I dont see why you would need a new battery terminal. I have always connected / soildered wires to the old terminal with no problems (800w Amp).

Sometimes it pays to run the RCA wires seperate from the battery wire to prevent interference.

What are you connecting to your amp? All the speakers or just the sub?

The amp is only powering the sub.
