the biggest problem is the cops dont car even if you give them all the info of companys that buy and sell the stuff that gets stolen (dury tyers ) as they dont have the time

yeh i think that thing was a glass tapper like whats on busses. I saw like an advert on about some glass that wont brake. They threw explosives and everything at it and it didnt break but u can push the window out from the inside but not the outside, thats always and option

one of the best anti theft methods is to find the lazy wrx /evo / v8 driver who has left their windows open or doors unlocked and park next to them...

its scary how many wrx drivers i noticed had left rear (bet its the kids fault) windows open over the christmas shopping period.

so god knows how many there actually were, as i was hardly looking for it.

My own little car theft story which happened last night. We were woken by cops outside our house and they were around my car so I go outside and there was my car on blocks. Luckily for me a guy who lives down the road from me was going home and had seen the car up on a angle so turned around to check it out and saw a guy removing the wheels so rang the police who luckily didnt take long to get there and the people were arrested. 2 of the wheels were already in their car and the other two had been taken off ready to go so I was lucky as a minute later they would of been gone. They never touched the windows or locks so in the end it didnt cost me anything except a few hours sleep. All of this was with an alarm with a knock sensor.

^^ Very lucky dude. Gota love having decent neighbours. As for shaving my door locks and having keyless entry, One problem is if the battery died. How the hell would you get into your car to pop the bonnet. Any ideas?

Would it be possible to put an ignition style circuit breaker in the alarm? Meaning you have a kidden key slot to cut the alarm power?

Ive done that on several cars Ive delocked in the past- had to use once with a flat batt (frekin headlights). Even better is use a factory style light and put it somewhere so it looks like it goes to an accessory, noone will think anything of it if they did go looking around the car. Often a 9v battery will be ok to use for opening also (depending on unit)

some alarms have this option in them from factory. problem is, if its not hidden well, its an easy bipass.
