SARD ecu????

Hey I was wondering if SARD ECU's are standard on the 97 carib? because when I was taking the old stereo out today I saw SARD computer on a sticker !!! is this right? I'll take out the old stereo tomorrow again to take a picture of it as that may help!!!

Funnly enough they come factory with a toyota ecu, so no your just a very lucky bastard :P

Yes you're very lucky with a SARD ECU, but don't expect it to give amazing improvements over the factory unit, maybe a couple HP and more torque. But the rev limit will most likely be raised and the speed limit gone.

Mr Revhead did back to back dyno runs with a SARD ecu and stock toyota ecu in his ae101 and picked up 9rwkw and torque came on sooner and held for longer on a VERY low reading dyno.

I'd be VERY happy if i got any kw from the rear wheels of an ae101 :P.

i think the SARD ecus are programmed to each car... not sure

but i expect you wil be getting some good gains on that......
just always run it on 98.

thats a hardish thing to find....

By taking care, do you mean thrashed? Cause funnily enough, Japanese people also modify their cars to make them go faster ;)

Have you had your car dynoed? If not you should.
I saw you ran a 16s 1/4 which isn't very good but i guess the carib would be quite a bit heavier than a levin.
