During a quiet sedate boxing day drive in the back country, I decided that using 1/3 tank of gas in less than 1/2 hour wasnt good, so I filled up at the Moutere(re:hicksville) station. Some spirited driving ensued...
I get stuck by a couple of tourists in campervans.
Following them quietly I wait for a very large straight bit of clear road as to pass them on. pull out to the other lane, drop to 3rd gear and give it death, change to 4th right on the limiter and **WABAAANG** out the exhaust, fly past the campers at 1**km/h, pull back into the left lane and carry on to catch up to revhead,
change back to 5th and put my foot back down, car goes no faster.
I think "Hmm, how very odd" and try again, this time i can hear the turbo spooling hard out, look at my gauge and its sitting bang on 15.5psi, but the car still not going any faster..
Next thing the warning light pops up.
I pull over and 5 minutes later revhead realised that the mighty sw was no longer there, he turns back and checks the ecu error codes, #52.... Short/no signal from knock sensor..
so technically the engine hasnt exploded... but its the closest so far
