looking at around $240 from japan via sea and around 6-7 weeks wait time. Or you could pay through the roof and go air frieght, which might change your mind.

ye thats fine.
i was just curious wether it was going to be 500$ or 1500$ .. makign the wheels very expense if it was in the 1500 range..
i will get my friend to orgainse it from the japan end in terms of contacting a frieght company.. i would expect it will be a nightmare for me to try and get a frieght company in new zealand to try and pick something up from japan.

What is the Japanese cost of the wheels, as when I looked into this JP prices were horrific, NZ$1000 per wheel for a typical 17? I ended up importing my Italian made 17's from the US (tirerack.com) via some friends. Ended up costing less than $500 per wheel.

Wheel selection in NZ for GT-Fours is crap. Every bastard wants to sell you skinny 17 x 7's.

Duty and GST suck ass, and aren't usually included in your quote from the freight company, but they sho9uld have a tarriff on them and you can ask what the duty is on importing mags.

YUP GST sucks like hell . . . its about 45% (gst + some other crap) . . . so its not really worth getting some wheels from japan :(

if they are new and under 18", there will be an extra tariff as up to (and including) 17" are made in NZ.

it would go on the declared value of the wheels , i guess.

sounds like these wheels you're getting are a "gotta have" item, Eh?
