Build your self a nice cold air box with a duct to the bumper to put the pod in.
You turbo boys have to be careful of all that heat under the hood.

unless your gonna do a whole airbox, don't bother and get a panel filter they breathe fine and you dont have to worry about anything.

depends if you want a skank whistle or not

you have a idle line, a BOV vent line and a temp sensor

Postby PhilSawtell » Wed Jan 11, 2006 2:51 pm

yeah i have been told that there's an oil line to keep oil out of the inlet, and two lines that go to the BOV

the oil one im told goes from the BOV to the inlet of the Intercooler, the temp sensor i know about that one comes off the box and then theres another smaller tube the straps onto the side of the throttle assembly

Ok I'm confused....since when does an oil line go from a BOV to an IC?
Is there an oil pump or sump in between somewhere that I've never heard of...? :?

There is no oil line at all, perhaps someone's thinking of the PCV valve, but IIRC that's connected straight to the intake manifold.

Either way whoever said it was an oil line, or anything to do with oil, is not someone who I'd be listening to

No need I have 2 stock GT-T's intake systems to look at, oops make that 1, forgot about the one I sold/swapped.

All you need to do is relocate the Stock BOV to the intake tube (see attached pic) and either add a filter to the Idle speed control tube or attach it after the filter.
