4age blue top trouble

Postby trdnut » Tue Jan 10, 2006 9:28 pm

Heya

I gotta ae82 GT corrolla my engine check light won't turn off. The car idles and goes fine but i gotta find out whats wrong.

I was looking for the square plug for the ecu, but this model only has two yellow plugs in the enging bay with no marking on them.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

(I would like to post pics of the plugs but just don't know)

the two yellow plugs on the LH side near the firewall?

One is a 2 pin and one is not a 2 pin.( 3 or 4 from memory?)

Bridge out the two pins in the 2 pin plug,
and count the flashes on the dash.

post back your result.

There is no fault code number 5

That is a list of codes for a NZ new car.

The jap imports had fault code 5 which is Oxygen Sensor.
NZ new ones did not have an oxygen sensor.
