Trailer Wiring on Toyotas

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for wiring up a trailer connection?

I have a flat 7-pin connector (with 5 wires) ready to hook up but cant figure out the colours.
They are:

Red:
Green:
Yellow:
Brown:
Black:

I googled a list but not sure if this is right. the US ways for wiring shouldnt be different to anywhere else in the world right?

Wire Function............................Wire Colour .....Toyota
RIGHT TURN & BRAKE LIGHTS....Green .............Green W/ Yellow Stripe
LEFT TURN & BRAKE LIGHTS.......Yellow..............Green W/ Black Stripe
TAIL LIGHTS..............................Brown..............Red W/ Green
GROUND....................................Black...............Black or White
BRAKE LIGHTS...........................Use Converter...Green W/ Red or White Stripe

Does that sound about right? no idea what the converter is all about tho :/

Sounds right, but remember the US cars often flash the brake light rather than having a separate indicator so need a converter. So that means -

Red: Brake lights
Green: Right Turn
Yellow: Left Turn
Brown: Park Lights
Black (or White): Earth

To ensure you have the right wires in the cars lom use a test light, you never know what has been messed with.
Ensure you get the wires at the plug end correct too, there are standard pins for each wire to ensure they work with all trailers.

Always have some spare fuses lying around also... you never know when you'll need them!!!

hell yeah... took it allllllll the way to palmy and back, with my bike on the back too

just would be good having the connections incase i need to tow a trailer for any reason.

Most Toyotas have a plug on the rear loom so a trailer wiring loom will plug straight in.
Look in the left or right well at the side of the boot when you lift the carpet etc up. I'm sure toyota will sell you the trailer wiring loom... easy (if I am right!)

just use a test light, so much easier, and use an eye terminal and a bolt for ur earth (black trailer wire) saves trouble because u'll (no offence) probably just end up hooking it up to a bulb if u use a test light to find earth
