2tgeu computer,

Postby dxcorolla » Sun Jan 15, 2006 2:24 pm

ok guys, im cheap and broke, i hav a 2tgeu complete with fuel injection. Im after some more hp from it. I want to turbo it. ok i have enough parts to do that. the only thing that is stopping me from turboing it is the ecu.

The ecu is a sack of shit. I was wondering if the Nissan ca18det ecu, afm, crank angle sensor, throttle sensor, injectors, oxy sensor, coils, igniter and all the bits, would work on the 2t, i dont see any reason why they wouldn't. also know someone that would tune the ca ecu for me.

Everything would be straight forward apart from the crank angle sensor, what could i do with this? could i modify the dizzy and mount it on there some how? Or like mount it on the front of the exhasut cam- cutting a hole in the front housing? Im reel keen to do this, just the crank angle sensor has me thinking of what i can do with it?

any help would be appericated.

Thanks,
Kingsley

why not just get a 3T-GTE ECU? Would be more suited to the T series engine than the CA18DET ECU ever will be. The CA series engine is hardly comparable to a T series engine. The ignition curve, fuel map etc will all be way off.

A, 3tgte = 8 spark plugs, crappy flappy air flow meter etc.
B, I have plenty of spare ca parts(more common), and I no someone that tunes ca/rb ecus and wil tune it to my 2t,
C, I wanted to no what i should/can do with the crank angle sensor,

Thanks anyways

you could use ca18det ecu, and retune it.
hardest bit as you've already said is mounting the ignition setup.

good luck.

i'm not familiar with the workings of the CA set-up, but would it be possible to mount the CAS on the engine backing plate and have the trigger points on the flywheel?? another option could be through the blanking plate for the fuel pump and trigger off the dummy cam??
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin

f#@k you i won't do what ya tell me
