Chris (GT4SUM) has his SS fixed @ Pedders and I think he paid around 2K+ and he's still having problems with it.

I can't remember what exactly they did yea...overly expensive if you ask me.

Not really a whole lot to actually take the arm out, just the price of parts that kinda kills things

Herein lies the problem.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Its not the getting them in and out that is the cost ( Unless their charge out rate is huge) it is the cost of the parts.

ANy aftermarket place willg et them through Toyota and put their markup on.

Sometimes, actually a lot of the time it is cheaper to go to the dealer.

It's now all fixed.

A friend of mine had his AE101 Levin in at Giltrap Toyota (Auckland) having all the bushes in the superstrut replaced with a check on the shocks to make sure they were all ok and the estimate not quote was (hope you're sitting down) $1350. 8O lots of money!
I do hope you can find somewhere to do it cheaper than that!

I to work at Toyota and the price for the lower arms with the wishbone attached to them is around $200 odd dollars they used to be around $800 but Toyota has reduced their price for reasons unknown. The lower arms have a ball joint moulded in the middle with a wish bone, this is usually what $&#$% out in the suspension set up and cause's a creeking noise and maybe vibration. For the labour do it yourself or get a switched on mate to do it for you. Be careful with the advice you get with super strut suspension cause it could cost you way more then it really should...!!!

my TS price on the ae101 s/s arms is about $185 per side. DO NOT get aftermarket ones or rebuild, or youll be doing them again for the next wof. that goes for the "genuine" ones from BNT, they are copies.

$80 an hour is pretty damn steep 8O
