...........and that, my friends is what happens when you skimp on quality. i know the 2.0l Celica motor will never rev as freely as the 4K Mmm, Boost refers to, but come on, i fitted a bi-linear piezo unit to the old 186 Holden in-line 6 and was pulling bigger numbers.

Mmm, boost, did you forget to run the 3 strontuim sheiled earth earth wires when you installed it?? you should get at least 17,000 out of a 4K

17000 is a bit steep to be pushing it really

on a 3SGE, which im assuming you have agressor, i woudnt be looking at going over around 13000-13500rpm
I had the 3SFE set at 12550rpm and she hummed, never crapped out once

Santa, for our viewing pleasure, please advise the readers your ACTUAL hp with the CT26 on the said 3sfe. i know we all told the guy with the Caldina that 450 was a crock, but us Toyspeeders have a habit of shying from the truth.

No, that was only on the running in period! The running in time for the piezo recommends 4 pulls to 10,000, 4 to 12,000, 4 to 14,000 and one final rip up to 16, and its meant to be good to go - mine let go on the 3rd pull to 14,000! Was not amused. Saved up for the Mk3 Flux capacitor with adamantium housings, and its really made the difference. I estimate at least 1400hp at the spigot bearing.

There in lies your problem. You're not supposed to pull to 14,000, you're supposed to push. Pulling at that speed results in friction burns, as you no doubt found out :twisted:

did you not have them fitted before and after the a CT26 thus making it quad polar?? must have been mistaken for someone else.

has anyone fitted an adjustable dementia valve or a lobotomy gauge to a 3S?? i heard it makes them go hard!!

no fangsport, if i fitted the famous CT26, theres no way that the car would ever have traction
plus i wanted to stay NA,
by adding the special blend of lithium grease and hydrofluro-monodioxin (found in pascals marshmellows) in the sump, ensured that the oil stayed fluid and did a superb job of lubricating the piezo internals
(pm me if you want my special blend recipie - id rather not put it on a public forum)

Adamantium, they phased out the audatorium housings in the 2nd rev MK2...they just couldnt handle the high rpm output as well.

Remember mate...

Every morning when you start your car, make sure to be red lining it for a few seconds, that way it cleans the engine + warms it up...

Remember though, the bigger the tip, the more the free flow, so 6inch tip = More freeflow... meaning the regulation of the flux capacitor will run much smoother and wont fail you when you're going back to the 90's. know what I'm sayin'...

Anyway, what you have to realise is the flux capacitor does need to be maintained regularly, that means, make sure to clean it with a toothbrush, or something similar

and there you have it, my 2 cents.

you should be able to do -15's in your car Barry. i managed to get to the finish 10 seconds before i left the start line last time i went down the 1/4.

sorry, I missed the - symbol, low -9s

you had traction issues, but solved that by adding some d8 tracks
