I dont think that the time was all that convenient, probably more like 7.30 - 8.00 would be a bit better because I know for the likes of myself I have just finished work by then and its also around tea time for a lot of people!

just a suggestion because I know that the time wasnt convenient for me thats why I didnt go :(

you'll note a post by me prior to the meet saying I was broke and wouldn't be there... basically I went to chch last thursday, went shoping with my wife, got back sunday, so after 4 days of shopping, I'm broke... all in aid of convincing her that if she buys a whole heap of crap, I can later buy a whole heap of crap... sofar I'm up to ~$1800  and whats best about it is I don't have to pay for her sh|t either :)

Yeah, a later start time would be good. Linz & I were keen for the 18th, but he got sent to Invercargill, so I had to catch a bus home (or walk)... so I could either get home at 6.05 (bus) or 6.30 (walk), and with the meeting starting at 6, and me having to run round feeding pets and getting the car out of the garage... my heart just wasn't in it that night. Plus, by the sounds of it, those that had showed up probably buggered off pretty early.

However, Linz and I are always keen for meets and promise to turn up when other things don't get in the way. I think we were two of the most reliable particpants in the weekly meets, and you can count on us again in the future.

Should we start a new thread and organise the feburary meet then.

If we organise it early then people might be able to make plans for it and not be busy.

Oh and I am all for starting a bit later, while we still have daylight anyway its a bit of a rush to get ready after work.

If there's enough time to organize myself and people are motivated enough to turn up then I will look into coming over for a monthly meet (I did 800k driving last week so whats another 800?) :D
