Postby The Game » Sun Jan 15, 2006 9:10 pm

Hey all just another noob question, want opinions on what sort of amp to get for my car. i got panasonic 40wX4 (gonna change soon to fusion) the speakers are fusion 6.5in cones up front with door mounted tweeters, in the back fusion 300w 3way 6X9's. getting 1 or maybe 2 fusion encounter subs and i was just wondering what type of amp would be suitable to run all this.

thanks

I have a 800w 2 channel i run subs off and a 600w 4 channel i run speakers off. All my gear except my headdeck is soundstream, but alpine is good too. You run your front speakers off 2 channels, rear off 2 channels and your tweaters off your head deck, then if you get subs, use a separate amp. My guess is...

Get a (insert brand here) 4 channel 600w for speakers and maybe a 2 channel 600 for subs? Depends on your subs and what you personally want. But you dont need 300w running through a 300w speaker/sub for it to sound good, as long as that is understood you should be fine. Tell your car audio shop what you want it to sound like, what you want to spend, and they should help you.

Eh what you on about? Overpowering is alot safer than under powering, For instance, im running 200rms through my rainbow components rated at 100rms. Alot safer than underpowering if ya know what your doing.
