AE101 bodykit

Postby Emperor » Fri Jan 20, 2006 9:31 pm

Friend of mine has an AE101 '92 GL Corolla and he wants a bodykit for it.
It's the 4 door hatch back http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog_photo ... _10913.jpg like that, just 4 door and not an FX.

Anyone know of good kits for them?

Looks custom, that cars been smoothed over in almost every way check out the rear hatch, I'd say you'd need to mofidy something to fit, which gets expensive fast 8O

The only kit i think u will find that bolts stright onto the car is from auz, its coming rather common now, i know of 3 cars with it now, its a ok kit, front is a bit week and needs extra brackets to stay stable as well as the back .

This is the kit on my 3 door corolla - I had to mod the side skirts to get them to fit the 3 door, but would fit the 5 door stright away.

ok maybe the back bumper is a bit longer for the liftback than it is for the 4 door hatch, but the front and sides should be the same as they are both 4 door

Ooh, this raises another question for me: is it possible for me to buy the Sport/FX-GT Spoiler for the hatch seperately (as in, through a local Toyota dealer)? I think it looks pretty cool :)

Also, if anyone could post any links to sites that have that last bodykit for sale, I'd be extremely grateful.

- I only really saw one or two bumpers I liked on there, one of which was http://www.eracings.com/catalog/strada-f1-front-bumper-toyota-corolla-19982001-p-1412.html

Do you think it'd fit on mine? It says 1998 - 2001 Corolla...

na dont think so as the bit that goes between the lights arnt the same as yours (or mine). that one in the pick looks like it its for a ae111 because their grilles are together with the bumper, not seperate like the ae101

Aww that sucks.
Hrrm, back to the never-ending search for a kit then...

Edit: After looking under the hood for a different reason tonight, I found that the grill between the headlights can be unscrewed and removed. Maybe that front bumper could work afterall... :)

the site for the kit is http://www.ssv.com.au total cost will be around 2k imported from sydney after fright , taxes and crap u gotta pay.

And the front is 1 complete piece so the grill between the lights is joined to the kit :)

Hope that helps - Mike
