Which in the case of an AW11 is about 20% of it's value. Probably higher than most sports cars % wise, which seem to average about 10%. Just look at the popularity of manual GT-T Caldinas, Supras, Altezzas and the like where that 10% difference accounts for a few thousand dollars.

Though it's strange that people will/have to pay more for an auto from the factory :?

At least Toyota had the common sense to not make an auto version of the SW20 turbo

Not to be off topic, but from what I have seen auto cars arent easy to sell.
Especially auto sports cars, so it depends on whether you feel your AW11 is still a sports car with the slush box....

example

I have seen 2 Toyota Soarers for the bargain basement price of about $5500-$6500 (1 had slightly lower kms), however both auto twin turbo, average to high km's. However they still sat on a Park and Sell yard for like 3 weeks- 1 month.
A manual one will set you back about 16K these days? why? simply more fun/exciting/interesting to drive. Funny when the auto probibly cost more when it was new.
I love soarers and would have one tommorrow if they werent pretty much all auto.....:(

What other GOOD sports car with that much poke for 5.5K that is amazing to me! :? (no considering fallin off the back of truck, alley way deals)

If you sell your AW11 I imagine it will be to someone who isnt really interesting in the performance factor ( maybe its pretty or economical! ) or someone that will convert it the manual anyway.... :D

Jasmine did a 17.2 or something in her auto AW11, then when she got her manual it did a 16.5...so they're not so good for straight line duties...might be ok in the twisties, but I dont think I'd like to try it...would hate to have it kick down leaving a corner :?

Its already happened, thank god there were no cars on the otherside of the road as i understeered towards the curb.. didnt hit it though... :P

just about..

Theres everything you need for a turbo conversion bar a few things, and can be all yours for a grand. Then you have the motor and a parts car 8)
