AE111 rear sway bar

Postby tomo1985 » Wed Jan 25, 2006 9:35 am

I'v been looking to upgrade the rear sway bar in my BZ-T carib as the back is all over the show when cornering. I'v found that whiteline make afew applications at a fair price. I have a 80-100 kg sub box in the rear would i need to go to the extent on a extra heavy duty or would this be a over kill. The front of my car rides very hard which i like, i have replaced the shocks in the rear (which is running king springs) but its still very sloppy would a sway bar fix this problem.

Would i be correct in saying that the AE111 Carib runs all the same rear suspension as the BZGs, would this be why its so soft in the back and why king springs are even too soft?

Would i be better to go for a extra heavy duty in this case then taking into account that its alot heavier then a bzg

Im not sure what exactly you mean by heavy duty, extra heavy duty etc but I know Whiteline make a 20mm rear bar (stock is around 16mm?) and also make a adjustable bar which can be made either 20 or 22mm. Go onto the Whiteline website, upgrading to the bar will increase the rigidity by about 150%

Have you looked at your bushed? They're probarbly stuffed if it that loose in the arse. Replace them with some Nolothane. Will be cheaper that replacing the sway bar.

I think ill get some custom made springs this week and some new bushes. May look at doing the swaybar at a later date.
